WEST CAMPUS—At 9:00 a.m. this morning, three single roommates in a Student Village 2 apartment declared that they only need each other for Valentine’s Day.
“Seriously, I’m so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing friends,” declared Anna Sanders, (SMG ‘14), whose eyes were puffy because of her winter pollen allergies.
Lisa Quinton, (CAS ‘14,) feels equally blessed to have so many great things in her life right now. “I love getting up every day and not having to worry about impressing anyone,” she said, adding a few empty tissue boxes to her trash can.
“I really get to focus on being the best version of myself, you know?” Hailey Lippman, (SED ‘14), who isn’t letting the fact that she doesn’t have a boyfriend on the most romantic day of the year get her down. “I always listen to ‘On My Own’ from Lis Miserables to start my morning while I stay cozy in bed for a few minutes. It’s empowering to remember how I can cuddle with myself and it will still feel kind of the same.”
At press time, Lisa was texting her friend “DO NOT CONTACT. EVER. NO.” about his plans for the night.
